The Presidents' Welcome
On behalf of both the Societies and on behalf of ourselves, it is indeed a great pleasure to extend a very cordial invitation to every member of the ISSH and the BSSH to this combined meeting to be held in Bangalore, India.
It is to be only the second time that these two societies will meet at a combined meeting and from the memories of the first combined meeting in Goa in 1991, which was a resounding success and a great event, this meeting too has the signs of being a successful and memorable event. This can only happen with your participation and presence at Bangalore.
While both the Societies have their strengths, it will beneficial to the members of each society to share and draw from the experience and expertise of the other.
Besides this will also provide an opportunity to promote a cultural exchange as well both during the meeting and also particularly following the meeting especially in view of the “Bengaluru Habba†[The Festival of Bangalore]  usually held in Bangalore in the first week of December.
This meeting will also be the starting point of “reaching out†to the rest of the world  in the interest and service for surgery of the Hand.
